So I finally got around to making myself an art website! I would appreciate it if you guys would take a look around- it even has a monkey blowing bubbles on it! :-)

Hi! I'm going to be attending MIAD as a Freshman next fall and I was wondering if you had any advice to give me? I'm nervous about making friends and living in a dorm (I'll be staying at two50two) as well as keeping up in my classes. Thank you so much!

Hi! :—D I’m super excited that you’re going to be attending MIAD this Fall! I’ll give you some advice under the cut! UuU

This is the design I am submitting to the Milwaukee Irish Fest committee for a chance at being the official poster this year. I included two detail images so you can see the cute little dancers and boats and instruments! :-D

Sorry for the lack of posts lately- I’ve been swamped with schoolwork! But here’s a few pages of a project I’ve been working on recently. For my typography class, we have to create a typographical ABC book that has a college-age audience. For my project, my book is the typographical guide to the 90’s kid! :-)

Here are the pages ‘B’, ‘F’, ‘G’, ‘J’, and ‘Z’.

3 hour assignment in Illustration 2 today: Draw a winter-themed illustration based off a word randomly chosen from a pile (I got “pellucid” (very clear)). I made my illustration look like a fake storybook, in which a girl’s (Fran’s) fantastical pets get paired with a high-vocabulary word. In this page, the word “pellucid” gets paired with Fran’s polar bear!

The first project of the semester for my Illustration 2 class. We were to create a beverage, and design and construct the packaging for our beverage. In addition to the beverage mockup, we had to create a layout that shows the flat pieces our box was made of, as well as a digital 3D rendering of the box with the designs.

The beverage I came up with was called Goldilocks and the Root Bears, and it is an assorted root beer pack with a targeted audience of kids and parents who like quirky sodas. The package comes with 4 flavours: Papa Bear (regular root beer), Mama Bear (diet root beer), Baby Bear (vanilla root beer), and Goldilocks (cream soda).

I’ll take higher-quality pictures of the box once I have access to a better camera, but for now all I have are cell phone pictures U^U

The project took a total of one month, and it was a ton of work, but I am very excited about the outcome! :-)

Tonight I won first place in the Illustration division of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design’s “It’s a Majour Deal” exhibit!

I won the award for my work overall, not for one specific piece. Here are the two pieces of mine that are being displayed in the exhibit currently!
